Joining a Virtual Sitting

The Supreme Court of Kenya embraces technology to ensure that justice is accessible, transparent and inclusive. Virtual court sittings allow parties, advocates and members of the public to participate in or observe proceedings from any location with an internet connection.

Virtual sittings are conducted with the same formality, decorum and legal effect as in-person proceedings. All participants are expected to dress appropriately, maintain silence unless addressed by the Court, and not record proceedings in any form.

The cause list, which is published daily, indicates which matters are set for virtual hearing and provides the relevant meeting link or joining instructions. Parties should also ensure they receive official notification from the Registry before joining any matter.
