Pay all court filing fees and other charges securely online via M-Pesa, bank transfer or card payment through the integrated payment gateway.
Access past judgments, rulings, practice directions and Supreme Court Rules from the searchable online document repository.
Follow these simple steps to file your documents at the Supreme Court through the Virtual Registry.
Register on the e-Filing portal using your Advocate Roll Number (for advocates) or National ID (for parties in person).
Search for your existing matter by case number or initiate a new filing by selecting the type of originating process.
Upload scanned PDFs of all documents to be filed. Documents must be legible, properly paginated and conform to Court Rules.
The system automatically calculates the applicable filing fee. Pay online via M-Pesa, card or bank transfer.
Upon successful filing and payment, you will receive an electronic acknowledgement slip with a unique filing reference number.
Monitor your matter through the portal dashboard. You will receive notifications on hearing dates, orders and judgments.
The following document types are accepted through the Supreme Court Virtual Registry platform.
Electronic filing is available but not yet mandatory for all matters. Parties may still file documents in person at the Registry. However, the Court encourages electronic filing to reduce delays and enhance efficiency.
Yes. Documents filed electronically through the official Virtual Registry platform are accorded the same legal status as documents filed in person, pursuant to the Supreme Court Rules, 2020.
Use the "Forgot Password" feature on the portal login page. If the issue persists, contact the Registry's ICT Helpdesk at ict@supremecourt.go.ke with your name and Roll Number.
Yes. Unrepresented parties may file electronically using their National ID number for account registration. The Registry also offers in-person guidance at the court premises.
Documents that comply with the filing requirements are processed within one business day and assigned a cause number. You will be notified by email or SMS upon processing.
